This home needed to take advantage of the view and more open space for this bustling family. The fireplace was relocated, larger windows were installed, and the formal living room was repurposed to be a laundry room and a craft room. Who needs a formal living room anyway? In this farmhouse, we added a waterproof, kid-proof floor with a touch of rustic charm, colored cabinets (that hide little fingerprints), bright lighting, and paint all around. The massive laundry/mud room holds all of the "drop zone" items and can be hidden behind the custom black barn door. Kid-friendly, mother-inspired, designer-approved!
